Gørild Heggelund
Gørild Heggelund's research focuses on China's environmental, energy and climate change policies, with particular attention to policymaking and policy implementation, and the role of actors, bureaucracy and institutions. In recent years her work has expanded to cover China's engagement, policies and interests in the Arctic. Current projects include China's energy and climate policies with a focus on renewables (solar and wind) and electric vehicles, China's carbon market, and China's role in international environmental governance including the UNFCCC, the Minamata Convention on Mercury, and the Convention on Biological Diversity. She is a research professor at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute.
