Iselin Stensdal is a senior researcher at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI). Her research interests include Chinese environmental and climate policy, as well as the social and political consequences of pollution and environmental degradation in China. She also works on China's energy security policy and Asian states' interests in the Arctic. In addition, she has broad expertise in Chinese domestic politics. Her academic background is grounded in political science, with a master's degree in Chinese studies, a bachelor's degree in Asian studies, and Chinese language training from Shanghai.
